ANNETTE FLAVEL
EDITOR-IN-CHIEF
Editor-in-chief Annette Flavel is coming to children's book publishing with twenty-three years' experience in educational publishing. Her goal is to create modern classics: beautiful, emotive, moving children's picture books for kids and parents who love words and stories.
She believes a good story hooks you in and gets you on the character's side. It makes all things possible. Down-to-earth and recognizable characters become your good pals. Empathy, humor, comicality, self-deprecation, self-awareness, or a comical lack thereof all make the magic that is an unforgettable children's book character.
MAGGIE OLSZEWSKI
ASSOCIATE RABBIT
Maggie Olszewski grew up in Columbia, South Carolina. She graduated from Smith College, where she majored in English and Film & Media Studies. Before that, she studied creative writing at the South Carolina Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities. She currently works as a bookseller at All Good Books and front of house staff at The Nickelodeon movie theater! She is so excited to join the Lucky Rabbit team.
JARED JOHNSON
SOCIAL MEDIA CONSULTANT
Jared Johnson is a co-owner of All Good Books, Advisory Board Member, and a longtime Columbia activist and community leader. He conceived the idea of the "Book Blackout", in which he solicited book donations and populated Little Free Libraries (those tiny houses that have free books in them) around Columbia with new books by and about people from communities that are underrepresented in mass media. He also is a freelance photographer and advocate of the Columbia art community.
